Description:
Course objectives: Introduction to the basic terminology in the field of sociology of family.

Course content:
- Introduction - presentation of program, literature, method, exams (1 hour)
- Emergence and historical development of the discipline (2 hours)
- Theoretical orientation of the family and marriage (2 hours)
- Functions of the family and marriage (2 hours)
- Choice of spouse; marital adjustment; roles in marriage (2 hours)
- Quality of marriage; duration of marriage and divorce (2 hours)
- Gender socialization and division of labor within the family; combine family and work roles (2 hours)
- 1st colloquium (1 hour)
- Family life as a process (2 hours)
- Modern and postmodern forms of family and partnership life; cohabitation (3 hours)
- Living alone (1 hour)
- Parenting (2 hours)
- Family and emotional relations (2 hours)
- Violence (2 hours)
